N. Caucus blogger ‘sent to a colony’ for ‘outrageous’ posts

Story from November, 2019, at Media 7:

A video that is both erotic and cartoonish, filmed in a bathroom and shared on Instagram by a blogger in hijab living in the Caucasus, has caused the ire of some users.

Released two days ago, the video of a scandalous blogger living in the Russian North Caucasus made the buzz on the social network Instagram by collecting more than 262,000 views and numerous comments, many of them to show indignation.

The footage shows the veiled young woman spraying herself with the water from her shower, then putting a cosmetic product on her tongue, diving into the water, playing with fire and drinking milk by spilling it on her chest.

Most Internet users did not like his (sic) behavior.

“Don't laugh at religion and the hijab. If you want to do what's in the video, take off your scarf and do whatever you want,”one user said.

“What a shame!” Said another indignantly.

Some Internet users do not exclude that the young woman has thus decided to promote her Instagram account which already has more than 300,000 subscribers. Indeed, the blogger is known for her scandalous approaches that she does not fail to publish on her account. In the summer of 2019, she was fined for shooting guns. She often posts cartoon videos with implicating weapons.

‘North-Ossetian blogger Malika Djikaeva convoyed to a colony’

The decision of the Supreme Court (SC) of Chechnya, which upheld the verdict to Malika Djikaeva, an Instagram blogger from North Ossetia, has come into force – she has been sent to a colony. The family will appeal against this decision.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Djikaeva was detained in Grozny on March 9, 2020, on suspicion of drug possession; and on December 11, 2020, the court sentenced her to three years in prison. Because of her arrest, Malika cannot receive her regular treatment at hospital, which results in auto-aggression bouts, her advocate, Inara Bedoeva, believes.

Examinations have confirmed that Malika Djikaeva did not use drugs, say the advocate. The girl's relatives are sure that the illegal substances had been planted on her in order to punish her for the shocking video clips posted on the Instagram.

The advocate believes that in Djikdeva’s case there are "violations and clear signs of falsification of material evidence."

"It's a pity that I couldn't get through to the head of Chechnya ... Now, Malika's life has been ruined," Djikaeva's mother, Angela Kudzieva, wrote on the Instagram.

In December 2020, Djikaeva's mother asked Ramzan Kadyrov to "have mercy" and help in the release of her daughter. The relatives were made clear that Kadyrov was not going to help Djikaeva, says her mother.

Let us remind you that Malika Djikaeva gained fame in social networks after posting her shocking video clips. These videos can be painfully perceived by Muslims, but they contain no direct attacks on Islam, Orientalists have pointed out.
