Thanks a lot, New York City

My wife and my daughter spent the weekend in New York City, Friday through Monday. Touristing. Both had been to The City before, my wife four times when attending Girl Scouts training in White Plains, our daughter once as a tourist and two times attending New Kids on the Block concerts.

Funny thing. One White Plains training, my wife met a woman who lives in the area and sometimes drives into the city. One time after parking her car, the woman walked away and then determined she had left something in her car. While returning to her car, she saw a man walking toward her. The man carried things from her car. She stepped in front of the man. She said, “You have my stuff. Put down my stuff.” The man did. The woman said, “Now give me your stuff.” The man emptied his pockets and walked away. The latter action is not recommended, unless you are much more a badass than the thief.

This time, my wife brought back something. She went down with it yesterday. It might be called NYC-Ovid. I got it around 5 a.m. today. Knocked me down, let me tell you. Typing makes my arms tired. My wife is pretty much over it this morning. I hope it leaves me as quickly.

I guess I could put on Bob Dylan’s first two albums for sympathy.
